FutureReadyNYC is a national best practice of what a career-connected high school can look like: early college credit and credentials, work-based learning, personalized advising, financial literacy, and career-connected instruction. Read more.

An alternative pathway to high-growth careers in technology.
Based in Brooklyn, New York, Marcy Lab School is an alternative pathway to technology careers for underrepresented young adults, offering intensive one-year programs in Software Engineering and Data Analytics. Read more.

English language learning + workforce development in a single, coherent model.
We are funding the design, implementation, and launch of English 2 Employment, the nation’s first comprehensive effort to bring together high-quality English language acquisition and workforce development into a single, coherent model. Read more.

Think Small & Mirza
Putting government benefits within reach through a unified tech platform.

We are funding Mirza, in partnership with Think Small, to pilot centralized eligibility and enrollment tech solution that will drastically improve the enrollment experience for early learning programs in MN.  This demonstration pilot will lay the groundwork for a state-wide offering focused on HR1 Medicaid & SNAP work requirements. Wealth-Building Initiatives

We fund new and innovative tools, policies, and ideas that enable more low to moderate income Americans to participate in asset-building as a mechanism for sustained, intergenerational economic mobility.

Colorado’s Baby Bonds Pilot
Setting the stage for Colorado to adopt a state-wide baby bond program.
Baby bonds are government-funded trust accounts for low-income children. Our grant is supporting Colorado’s 3-year pilot program, positioning CO to be the third state to implement a state-wide baby bonds program. Read more.

Making Trump Accounts work for low income American households.

Aspen Institute’s Early Wealth-Building policy team will help Trump Accounts ($1,000 investment accounts for newborns) meaningfully help economic mobility for the poorest households. Read more.

Center for Taxpayer Rights
Low-Income-Friendly Design of the new Trump Accounts.
Center for Taxpayer Rights is supporting the U.S. Treasury Office of Tax Policy with expert guidance on the inclusive design and implementation of the newly created Trump Accounts. The goal is to ensure Trump Accounts are structured to build wealth inclusively and reach families with low incomes and low wealth. Read more.

We are funding Commonwealth to create a coalition of industry leaders to enable 1 million first-time investors. The coalition will showcase what is possible, demonstrate what’s been learned, identify what policy action(s) are required, and foster new conversations about who can and should build wealth.
